BeschreibungThe Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung is responsible fort he investigation and determination of the cause of accidents and serious incidents involving civil aircraft within Germany. This also involves the publishing of investigation reports. Safety recommendations pinpoint measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. In line with international regulations collaborating with foreign investigation authorities is often necessary.

LBA - Luftfahrt-Bundesamt

BeschreibungThe Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) was founded in 1954. As a Federal Agency it reports to the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (BMVBS). The LBA headquarters are in Braunschweig. With more than 100 certification-, approval-, and supervision functions the LBA assures the high safety standards in Germany in the areas of aviation personnel and technical and operational safety standards.
